What level do you need to be to raid in Pokemon Go?
As of June 30th, the minimum level to participate in raids in Pokémon Go is level 5 You must be at least level 5 to join a raid battle This is the level at which players can choose a teamHere are some other facts about raids in Pokémon Go:
Raid Battles occur when a Boss Pokémon takes over a Gym
If you and your fellow Trainers are successful, you’ll be rewarded with special items and a chance at catching that Pokémon
To participate in a Raid Battle, you must use a Raid Pass, which you can receive once a day by spinning a photo disc at any Gym
Raids have several tiers of difficulty: tier 1, tier 3, tier 5, Mega Raids, and Mega Legendary Raids The higher the difficulty, the stronger the Raid Boss, and the more players you’ll need to succeed
You’ll receive a notification of Raid Battles happening nearby, or you can use the Nearby feature to locate raids or accept a raid invitation from a friend
Before the raid begins, a Raid Egg will appear on top of the Gym, with a countdown displaying the time until the Egg hatches and the battle begins
Winning raids at higher levels can require more understanding of Pokémon and how to use them effectively For example, level 47 challenges include winning 30 raids using a team of all unique Pokémon species, and winning a three-star Raid using Pokémon with 1,500 CP or less
